Together with the New Porsche 911 Carrera S we find the Cabriolet version which, in addition to determination and power, unleashes a priceless sense of freedom. The restyling of some details does not compromise the splendid fluidity of its timeless line.
The new rear engine, with aluminum monobloc and cylinder head, with 6 opposed cylinders, twin turbo, 3 liters of displacement – with 2 intercoolers, particulate filters and 3-way catalytic converter – has a power of 450 horsepower, 331 kW.
The maximum torque, at a speed between 2,300 and 5,000 rpm, is 530 Newton meters. The “sprint” from 0 to 100 Km / h in just 3.9 s, records a reduction to 3.7 s thanks to the Sport Chrono package. The New 911 Carrera S Cabriolet features the 8-speed PDK (Porsche Doppelkupplung) dual-clutch automatic transmission. Consumption stands at 11.6 l / 100 Km on an urban route and 7.6 l / 100 Km on extra-urban routes. The tank capacity is 64 liters.

The Sport Chrono Package – with the Mode switch and the PTP app (Porsche Track Precision) – is undoubtedly one of the most popular options. To intrigue enthusiasts, it is certainly the chance to actively interact with the car, based on one’s own experiences, driving style and the peculiarities of the course. Through the Mode button, it is in fact possible to select 5 different driving modes, optimizing the response of the engine, gearbox and chassis according to the needs of the moment.
The driving options – manageable with the Mode button on the steering wheel – are: “Normal”, “Sport”, “Sport Plus”, “Individual” and “Wet”, the new function designed for driving in the wet. Through the “Sport Response” of the Mode button, on the other hand, the engine and gearbox are prepared to give maximum power faster, for example, when overtaking. The Porsche Track Precision app, which allows you to record driving data and times, is dedicated to all those who love to challenge themselves.
The New 911 Carrera S Cabriolet rests on a PASM frame (Porsche Active Suspension Management) which regulates the rigidity of the suspensions, equipped with anti-roll bars, depending on the road surface, guaranteeing stability and driving comfort. Options include the 10 mm lowered PASM Sports Frame, equipped with a mechanical self-locking rear differential, which further improves the car’s balance.
The functionality of the braking system, with red fixed front monobloc 6-piston aluminum calipers, rear 4-piston calipers, perforated and self-ventilating brake discs, is optimized by the PSM (Porsche Stability Management), with ABS.
Among the most interesting innovations, PCCB (Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake) – with its yellow-colored calipers – which uses a highly advanced ceramic material, very light in the construction of the discs (front 410 mm – rear 390 mm) stands out.
The power steering is electromechanical, with a variable transmission ratio and steering wheel pulse generator. Alternatively, optional, we find Plus power steering which acts on the basis of speed and facilitates maneuvers, for example during parking. Among the other driving aids, we find the lane maintenance assistant and the night vision assistant.
The new 911 Carrera S is fitted with light-alloy wheels of different sizes. The 8.5J x 20 “front wheels are fitted with 245/35 ZR 20 tires, while the 11.5J x 21” rear wheels are fitted with 305/30 ZR 21 tires for greater stability.

The distinctive element par excellence of the Cabriolet version certainly deserves a mention of honor: the folding top. Magnesium details have been integrated into the roof canvas to prevent it from swelling at high speeds. Equipped with an integrated glass rear window, it can be opened and closed electrically, up to a speed of 50 km / h. Good thermal-acoustic insulation, which makes it comfortable even on long journeys. The action of the windbreak is very appreciable when traveling with the top down.
The lighting system includes a new LED connection strip, a third stop placed vertically, main headlights with 4-point LED daylight. The 2-zone air conditioning system is supplied as standard. The position of the main controls is functional, on both sides of the steering wheel.

Standard sports seats are electrically adjustable in height and backrest angle. Among the options, the 18-way Plus sports seats, electric, with a Memory package.
